Lenn's Christmas lights are up again:The reason for the season....

The twenty foot Christmas tree (new this year). This tree was a family affair, we chose the COLDEST day to put it together. We were all freezing, but everyone was a big help, even Owen, not one alarm during the whole process.

Decorating the tree

Believe it or not, it is that time of year again. We love the Christmas season in this house!! This year we couldn't wait until after Thanksgiving so we put up the tree the Monday before. Lenn decided he would hang out on the couch with Owen and supervise. Then Bentley joined the boys and boy did they supervise!

My sad attempts at trying to get the whole family in the picture! I gave up and Abby and I got to decorating.

Bentley finally joined in on the fun and put on a few decorations.

Halloween Fun

Some of our Halloween fun: The Halloween party with some of the cousins. Lenn and Owen sat this one out, it is that time of year again :(.

Bentley's pumpkin was quite impressive, so many little teeth.

Abby insisted on doing her pumpkin all by herself this year. It turned out great too!

The night came to dress-up. Bentley was being his silly self, but once that wig went on it at least doubled!! I was trying to take a picture of the cute cowgirl and the hippie kept jumping in the way. When I told Lenn what Bentley was doing, hoping for some help in the control department, Lenn starting jumping in too!

We finally beat the boys with the snap for the cowgirl.

The hippie with Spider man. Wow, look at those muscles. Abby thought it was funny that Owen had all those muscles and still couldn't move.

As usual, Owen wasn't too happy about going anywhere, but once he got to the van the smiles began.

While Bentley and Abby were trick-or treating, we were run down by a sweet lady. She came up to the van and handed me a little foam pumpkin and said, "this is for Owen". Then she told me' "last year I gave him candy and felt really bad about it afterwards, so I got him a pumpkin instead." How sweet is that? That was so thoughtful and kind. Thank you! Owen loves his pumpkin, it fits right in his hand.

Bentley's peewee football

We made it through another year of peewee football. This was Bentley's last year and next year he will be playing in Jr. High sports. His team had a great year with some really great coaches. The dad that was in charge this year got some of last years high school graduates to coach the boys. They did such a great job with them. The boys loved them and worked really hard for them.
In fact, they were so great I have to tell about our last game. In Cokeville 3rd graders play to help with numbers. This year there was a 3rd grader that has a love for football that is unmeasurable, but his physical capabilities hold him back a little. His one side is very strong but the other isn't as strong due to some strokes as a newborn. The coaches knew of this love and in the last game they had a special play just for him. They had the 5th graders go in to block for him to run the ball. They wanted him to score but it didn't happen but he made it a good 20 yards or so. It was incredible that these boys just out of high school would even think of such a thing. Not only did they make this 3rd graders day, they taught all those players a great life lesson. It is something that Bentley will never forget doing. He loved going in and blocking for this boy and will forever look up to the coach that had him do it.
