The motorhome is here!



Oh wait...did I mention Earl was on his way home to Wyoming and decided to take his 1 and 1/2 hour detour to come visit?  Yes, that's our Earl.  We got two special visits in one day!



It's here!  We all waited anxiously for this to pull up the drive!  About 11 a.m. Lenn called and told us there was a motorhome headed towards our house and Bentley started jumping and yelling.  It came to our house and then kept on going!  Bentley was a little bummed but I told him it shouldn't be much longer.

 

These are the special people from Sonny's RV that delivered the motorhome.  Yes, delivered!  They delivered this brand new RV from Casper.  Even though we don't know them well, they have to be incredible people.  They were so sweet.  If you know of anyone looking for an RV I would defintely recommend Sonny's!



Not only did they bring a brand new RV for us to use they brought a few fun extras too.  In the motorhome were sleeping bags for the kids, Owen too, disney movies and sheets for the main bed.  All for us to keep.  They also had a loner x-box 360 with some games.  That made Bentley's day for sure!



The motorhome came on Friday and I knew Bentley and Abby would want to sleep in it that night.  They got there beds all made up and ready and made it clear to 11 p.m..  Such brave kids!  Bentley blames it on Abby.  Abby says there were too many weird noises.



  So one step closer to the trip.....

Wishes do come true!

The package came, it was official, Owen's wish had been granted and it was about to come true!

Make A Wish sent the trip itinerary, and some things for the kids. 

For Owen they sent a Make A Wish car, T-shirt, hat, balloons and gift card.

 

For Bentley they sent pens, a car, gift card and balloons. 
 For Abby they sent pens, balloons, a barbie and gift card.  They were so excited that this trip was going to happen and they each had a 'credit card' of their own to spend as they pleased.

A granted wish!!!

Owen's wish has been granted and rather quickly.  We can't even begin to thank everyone enough who made this wish come true. 
We have again been so very blessed by so many people, so many who are still strangers.  Owen wish was to go to Denver in a motorhome to the aquarium and zoo.  I will be posting each days adventures so stay tuned for a week we will never forget!

Make a Wish

Owen's doctor and friend Toni at Primary's have been trying to get us to let them refer Owen to Make a Wish.  Well this year we accepted.  We tried to think of ideas that Owen would love and we came up with two that he could choose from.  We did one to stay at home and one to travel.  The one for home was a gazebo surrounded with trees so he could enjoy the outdoors and the other was a trip to Denver in a motor home to the Aquarium and Zoo.

I printed off some pictures and explained each one to him.  Then I put them on his choice board and let him make the choice.  He gave the gazebo a quick look and then he was done with that!  He found the trip to Denver and grinned and wouldn't take his eyes off of it.

 

This is the Make a Wish volunteer, she has been doing this for 15 years.  Amazing!

 

This is his choice board, his therapists came up with this and he does great at making choices from toys to shapes and colors and now making a wish.

A small world....I posted a comment on facebook looking for fun ideas for a wish.  I got a text shortly after from a cousin saying that their high school had done a Make a Wish fundraiser and ask if they could be Owen's sponsor.  What a crazy small world!  After a few phone calls it was a done deal that Farson/Eden High School would be Owen's sponsor for his wish.  So a BIG THANK YOU to this school and the people who donated to this fundraiser!

All about Owen

There are so many things that Owen cannot do, he will never walk, talk, throw a football, ride in a tractor and the list could go on and on.  With that list comes the very short list of what Owen can do and he does it so well and that is

SMILE!

He can make any bad day go away with just one little smile and we LOVE it!

This is the first time he smiled for the camera on purpose as a thank you for his birthday gift.  So cute!  Obiviously this was a long time ago...look at that double chin!



He was so happy with his primary lesson on prayer.



More smiles from Owen.  It doesn't take much to get one most days either, he is pretty generous with them.
As for his health, he continues to lose weight.  As I looked back at this picture I can see that the weight loss is noticeable now.  He is still as happy as ever and we will continue on as long as he is happy and comfortable. 
He had his annual doctors appointment, they are still amazed at how well he is doing.
He is one amazing little guy and I am so glad I am part of his life.
