A blatin' and a beepin'

Well, last night here at the Johnson residence was an interesting night to say the least! It started about 9 p.m. with Lenn and Bentley going to put the sheep in the barn for the night. As Lenn walked into the barn, he saw the ewe that can't get up had lambed and had triplets. Since she can't get up, we got to start the lambing season with 3 bum lambs. Of course it was getting late and the lambs needed to be warm and dry, so Lenn brought the lambs to the basement for the night. We finally got them full and settled around 11:30 p.m. and went to bed. I awoke to the blats around 12:30 and then 1:30 am, we gave up and got up to feed them. We went back to bed only to barely get back to sleep and awake to Owens' alarm. He needed suctioned, he rarely needs suctioned at night, so of course this would be the night. I went back to bed and slept for another hour before more blats and an alarm.
Owen usually sleeps all night with maybe one alarm, last night he had 3 or 4. It is amazing how lack of sleep messes with your mind and memory!!

But look how cute they both are...who needs sleep anyway??

Not too bad for a ewe we just threw in the trailer. We love the bums at our house. Post pictures of the rest of the lambs. We would love to see them.
